Patch 1.5.6: A Jester's visit (Jun 25, 2026)
Patch 1.5.6 is the latest update. It adds a jester in front of the Hangman's Halter Tavern in Kuttenberg with a new quest, fixes the main quest "So it begins..." requiring Mikesh or Kozliek when either is dead, adds Steam Controller support, fixes the Hardcore Mode perk-selection screen and updates the credits. Deep Silver's own 1.5.6 page says the jester sometimes appears "shouting about a strange new game".
Patches 1.5.5 and 1.5.3 (Mar and Apr 2026)
Patch 1.5.5 on Apr 20, 2026 added the book Three Crusader Kings, found around Trosky and Kuttenberg, in a collaboration with Paradox's Crusader Kings III, which got Kingdom Come-themed additions in return. Patch 1.5.3 on Mar 5, 2026 added native Windows on ARM support, optimized for Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite devices, with no gameplay changes. There is still no Mac version.
Patch 1.5 and its hotfixes (Nov and Dec 2025)
Patch 1.5 shipped on Nov 11, 2025 with Mysteria Ecclesiae. Its notes let blacksmithing take materials from the shared stash or the horse's inventory, stop chests restocking once all their owners are dead, rebalance the locks on several chests and fix the Natural Camouflage perk's effect on visibility.
Two hotfixes followed. Hotfix 1.5.1 on Nov 14, 2025 stopped Legacy of the Forge smithy items vanishing after travel or seven days and made Peter of Pisek, who starts Mysteria Ecclesiae, available to players who finished the main quest on versions 1.2 to 1.2.3. Hotfix 1.5.2 on Dec 2, 2025 stopped rain being heard indoors, fixed cutscene crashes and NPCs sleeping all day in Peter of Pisek's house, and added SteamLink controller support.
Patch 1.4 (Sep 9, 2025)
Patch 1.4 shipped on Sep 9, 2025 with Legacy of the Forge, adding an upgraded photo mode, an adaptive HUD, quality-of-life and combat fixes, and the line "Henry has finally been re-taught how to cook eggs". Its full notes add HDR output and Intel XeSS 2.0, a warning before a Savior Schnapps overwrites the oldest save, and a fast travel point near Sigismund's camp.
Patch 1.4 also changed the balance. Per the notes, looting or killing bandits no longer counts as a crime, every polearm combo needs only three moves, halberds became roughly twice as durable, the Infantryman perk was reworked, and the boosts from the Pebbles and Herring horse perks and the stats of the Brunswick set were slightly reduced. Guides written before Sep 2025 may give the old figures; see Perks, Horses and Crime and Reputation.
Two hotfixes followed: 1.4.1 on Sep 23, 2025 with quest, NPC and stability fixes, and 1.4.2 on Oct 21, 2025, PC only, which fixed DualShock and DualSense controllers after firmware updates. Warhorse had warned that outdated mods "may cause issues or even make the game unplayable" after 1.4.
Update 1.3: horse racing (May 15, 2025)
Update 1.3 (console version 1.030) shipped on May 15, 2025 with Brushes with Death and free horse racing: races against three opponents over several routes and difficulties, and mounted archery on a set course. DSOGaming's summary places the races at a nomads' camp near Trosky, with the quests Horses for Courses, Racing Horseshoes and The Executioner's Edge, and notes that enemy difficulty around Kuttenberg went up. Warhorse called horse racing its "Final Free DLC".
Two hotfixes followed: 1.3.1 on May 22, 2025 fixed frequent flickering, Brushes with Death quest behavior, saving and loading, and 1.3.2 on Jun 5, 2025 fixed quests, visuals, AI, items and localization on all platforms.
Patch 1.2.4: Hardcore Mode (Apr 15, 2025)
Patch 1.2.4 added Hardcore Mode on Apr 15, 2025: no position on the map, no fast travel, a useless compass, no surrendering enemies or combat visual cues, and at least three permanent negative perks chosen at the start. Warhorse later named three of them: Sweaty, Heavy-Footed and Somnambulant. RPG Site's notes add a bald hairstyle, rebalanced herb prices and fixes to the perks Sagittarius, On the Road, Salva and Wildrider. See Hardcore Mode.
Patch 1.2: barber, modding and 1,000 fixes (Mar 13, 2025)
Patch 1.2 was the first big update, released on Mar 13, 2025 after five months of work. PLAION says it brought "over a thousand fixes and improvements", barbers in Zhelejov and Kuttenberg whose fresh trim briefly raises Henry's Charisma, official modding with Steam Workshop, corrected Chinese translations, a clearer Korean font and a newly recorded French voiceover.
Patch 1.2 also rebalanced much of the game. Its notes made Marksmanship "noticeably easier" to train, lowered skill-teacher prices, made stealth kills more likely to fail, gave multi-hit combos more damage and polearms more strength, moved bezoar from alchemy to blacksmithing, rebalanced armor durability and merchant prices, and gave NPCs sharper hearing for crimes. Modding is covered on Mods and Modding Tools.
Hotfix 1.2.2 on Mar 20, 2025 removed trespassing flags in rented rooms, took New Game out of the pause menu so saves could not be overwritten by accident, and fixed the Goatskin disappearing in "Into the Underworld".
Hotfix 1.1.2 (Feb 20, 2025)
The first post-launch fix, Hotfix 1.1.2 (console version 1.012), came on Feb 20, 2025 with stability, quest, combat and crash fixes on PC, PS5 and Xbox.
