Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has five full romances (Katherine, Hans Capon, Rosa Ruthard, Klara and Margaret) and four quick ones (Doubravka, Widow Johanka, Black Bartosch and Lousy Mary); Henry can pursue several, but Katherine and Hans exclude each other.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 lets Henry romance five characters over several quests, Katherine, Hans Capon, Rosa Ruthard, Klara and Margaret, and have brief encounters with four more, according to TheGamer's romance guide. There is no romance menu or affection meter on screen: each romance is a chain of dialogue choices and small favors inside main and side quests, and most of them pay off late in the story. Henry can pursue more than one, but Game Rant says romancing Katherine locks out Hans and the reverse (Game Rant's Katherine guide). The people themselves are on Characters.

Katherine

Katherine's romance runs through three moments in the Kuttenberg half of the story. Game Rant's Katherine guide says to start the side quest The Fifth Commandment with her at the Hangman's Halter tavern in Kuttenberg and take her side throughout; letting her end the murderer herself gives a big boost. The quest is timed and must be finished before the story leaves Kuttenberg.

The second step comes in Sigismund's camp. During The Lion's Den, a task called The Stalker has the Cuman Chakan pestering Katherine, and Game Rant says Henry should persuade him to leave her alone (Game Rant).

The romance pays off during the siege of Suchdol. After Reckoning, find Katherine among the wounded, choose "I'll bring help, and everything will be alright again.", then wait for her on the ramparts (Game Rant). The Fifth Commandment also counts toward one of the best endings, as Game Rant's walkthrough of the quest notes; the endings are on Endings.

Hans Capon

Hans Capon can be romanced across both regions with a string of "heart" dialogue options. Game Rant's Hans guide lists them: "I care about you" in Back in the Saddle, "We'll manage it together." in Taking French Leave, and the matching option in The Italian Job, then "Kiss Him" during Hunger and Despair.

Saving Hans quickly matters too. TheGamer's Hans guide says to save him before the bell's twelfth ring in For Whom the Bell Tolls, and that the kiss in Hunger and Despair appears only with enough reputation. The optional activity Like Old Times with Hans can only be triggered before the main quest Into the Underworld (TheGamer).

Rosa Ruthard

Rosa's romance is built on her book. Game Rant's Rosa guide gives the steps: promise to fetch her book from Maleshov, "A Book of Humourous Anecdotes", during Taking French Leave and return it, help her write her own book, do not torch the tower in Dancing with the Devil, carry her through the water in Oratores, then kiss her.

Helping with the book has an achievement of its own. "Tales of Kuttenberg" ("You helped Rosa finish her book.") was held by 33.1% of Steam players on Oct 25, 2026. Henry says goodbye to Rosa in Civitas Pragensis, with a kiss if she was romanced (TheGamer's Civitas Pragensis walkthrough).

Klara

Klara is the first full romance most players can reach. She is the herb woman and healer at Nebakov, met in Back in the Saddle. Game Rant's Klara guide says to pick "I can't say no to a comely maid," gather 4 Sage, 5 Poppies and 8 Marigold for her, and answer her riddle with "I think she's called Klara."

Missing her the first time is not fatal. The Finger of God gives a second chance at the romance, where Henry also treats three wounded men for her (Game Rant's Klara guide; Game Rant's Finger of God walkthrough).

Margaret

Margaret's romance comes with a catch. TheGamer lists it under the side quest Damsel in Distress and warns that she steals 250 groschen from Henry. PCGamesN's romance list places her at the mill south of Bylany in the Kuttenberg region.

Quick romances

Doubravka is the earliest and the easiest to miss. She is at the wedding in Wedding Crashers, and TheGamer says to talk to her mother first (TheGamer's romance guide). Dancing with her is risky at low health: Game Rant's secret deaths guide says her missteps deal damage and can kill Henry.

Widow Johanka and Black Bartosch are a choice of one at the For Victory! feast. TheGamer says choosing either skips the rest of the evening's events (TheGamer), and Game Rant says neither affects the Hans romance (Game Rant's Hans guide). Starting For Victory! is a point of no return, so this chance cannot be revisited (Game Rant's For Victory! walkthrough).

Lousy Mary comes up in Into the Underworld. TheGamer says she is found by asking around the Kuttenberg bathhouse for Goatskin, the thief Henry is hunting in that quest (TheGamer).

Can you romance more than one?

Henry can romance several characters in one playthrough. The one exclusion the guides name is Katherine and Hans: romancing either locks out the other (Game Rant's Katherine guide). The quick romances at the For Victory! feast do not block Hans (Game Rant's Hans guide).

30:52 Full romances do close one ending. The secret Theresa ending in Judgment Day needs Henry to name Theresa as his sweetheart at the campfire, keep mentioning her, not fully romance Hans, Katherine or Rosa, keep a positive reputation, choose to "settle down and start a family," and then pick Theresa after the talk with his parents (Game Rant's secret endings guide).

Rewards

Every romance scene grants the buff Time Well Spent. PCGamesN's romance list gives it as +1 to Strength, Agility and Vitality for several hours. The same buff comes from the costlier one-hour bathmaid option at a bathhouse, according to Game Rant's bathhouse guide. The stats it raises are explained on Skills and Stats.
