Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has three story DLCs: Brushes with Death (May 15, 2025), Legacy of the Forge (Sep 9, 2025) and Mysteria Ecclesiae (Nov 11, 2025), sold on Steam for $5.99, $13.99 and $13.99, or together in the $29.99 Expansion Pass. Three small packs of gear came with them: The Lion's Crest (the pre-order questline), the Gallant Huntsman's Kit and Shields of Seasons Passing. Warhorse called Mysteria Ecclesiae "the third and final DLC", and since Nov 12, 2025 the Royal Edition sells the game with all six add-ons. Each story DLC adds quests inside the main game's world, so it is started from a marker on the map, not from the main menu.

Brushes with Death

Brushes with Death, the first story DLC, came out on May 15, 2025 at 17:00 CET with Update 1.3, for $5.99. Henry helps a quirky painter who carries a painted human skull finish "the most important painting of his life", in quests across both maps. It adds shield painting with over 100 designs and color combinations and has three endings, plus a hidden moment for players who earn the painter's trust. PCGamesN names him Master Voyta.

Sources disagree on when you can start it. PCGamesN says it needs no specific base-game quests, while Game Rant's walkthrough lists finishing For Whom the Bell Tolls first. Its opening quest, Sketchy Situation, starts at a purple marker southeast of Trosky Castle, where Game Rant says the painter is tied to a tree with two wolves nearby.

Legacy of the Forge

Legacy of the Forge, the second story DLC, came out on Sep 9, 2025 with Patch 1.4, for $13.99. Henry joins Kuttenberg's blacksmith guild and takes over the long-abandoned forge where his adoptive father Martin trained; PLAION puts it at about 15 hours. The goal is to rebuild the forge, earn Prestige and reunite Martin's old colleagues to finish the city's astronomical clock, and the forge, yard and private quarters can be customized in over 100 million combinations.

It opens in Kuttenberg. Game Rant's guide says to finish the Trosky main quests through Storm, then The Sword and the Quill and Speak of the Devil, and look for a purple icon on an abandoned building in east Kuttenberg, across from a laundry pond near the Hole in the Wall tavern; a few hundred groschen is enough to begin. See Blacksmithing for the smithing itself.

Mysteria Ecclesiae

Mysteria Ecclesiae, the third and final story DLC, came out on Nov 11, 2025 with Patch 1.5, for $13.99. Henry becomes assistant to Sigismund Albicus, a healer with ties to King Wenceslas, on a secret mission to find the origin of a deadly plague in Sedletz Monastery. The monastery is quarantined and patrolled, and PLAION says Henry relies on "his cunning, alchemical skills, and a fair bit of stealth"; it adds a new outfit, weapon, potions, books and multiple endings.

It also starts in Kuttenberg. Game Rant says to finish The Sword and the Quill and Speak of the Devil, then find Peter of Pisek, marked by a gold cross on a purple shield, at Suchdol or the Mintmaster's house, to begin The Royal Physician. Warhorse's Hotfix 1.5.1 fixed Peter being unavailable for players who had finished the main quest on versions 1.2 to 1.2.3.

Which order to play the DLCs

Play them in release order, which is also the order they open. Brushes with Death can begin in the Trosky region, while Legacy of the Forge and Mysteria Ecclesiae both need Henry to have reached Kuttenberg and finished its first two main quests, per Game Rant. Game Rant advises raising Scholarship and Speech and clearing other quests before Mysteria Ecclesiae. The main story's order is on Story and Main Quest Walkthrough.

The cosmetic packs

The Lion's Crest was the pre-order bonus: a questline in which you "battle, bargain, and outwit your way" to Knight Brunswick's full plate armor, polearm, dagger and a burgundy and gold caparison. It has been sold alone since Mar 28, 2025 for $4.99, and Patch 1.4 slightly reduced the set's stats. Its armor is on Best Weapons and Armor.

The other two packs went on sale alone on Apr 15, 2025, at $2.99 each. The Gallant Huntsman's Kit, first part of the Gold Edition, holds St. Hubert's hunting cap, Artemis' crossbow and Nimrod's hunting coat; Shields of Seasons Passing, first a bonus of the Expansion Pass, holds four shield designs.

Free content

Warhorse also called its free features "Free DLC". The barber came with Patch 1.2 on Mar 13, 2025, Hardcore Mode with Patch 1.2.4 on Apr 15, 2025, and horse racing and mounted archery with Update 1.3 on May 15, 2025, which Warhorse called its "Final Free DLC". Later patches still added small extras, such as a jester's quest in 1.5.6. See Patches and Updates.

Is there more DLC coming?

No more story DLC is planned. Warhorse called Mysteria Ecclesiae the final DLC, and Tobias Stolz-Zwilling told PCGamesN: "We want to call it a day there, at least finish Henry's story." Warhorse has since announced a new Kingdom Come adventure and a Middle-earth RPG instead. The Switch 2 Royal Edition due in 2027 will include the three story expansions and exclusive gear with a bonus questline.
