The Trosky region holds the first 12 of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's 32 main quests, according to Game Rant's main quest list: the four prologue quests, then Wedding Crashers, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Back in the Saddle, Necessary Evil, For Victory!, Divine Messenger, The Finger of God and Storm, in PCGamesN's order. They take Henry from the stocks at Troskowitz to a wedding at Semine, into Otto von Bergow's service at Trosky Castle, to the bandit nest at Nebakov and finally out of Trosky's dungeon on the road to Kuttenberg. This page walks through each quest with its choices and rewards; the region itself is on Trosky Region.

Spoilers for the first act follow.

The quests in order

The table of all 32 quests, with what happens in each, is on Story and Main Quest Walkthrough.

Wedding Crashers

Wedding Crashers is the first open-world quest and its first lasting choice. Two routes lead to an invitation, TheGamer's walkthrough explains: the blacksmith Radovan in Tachov, through the side quests The Blacksmith's Son, The Jaunt and The Hermit, or the miller Kreyzl in Lower Semine, through Materia Prima, Forbidden Fruit and Opus Magnum. Bara in Troskowitz sets up the start. Taking one route closes the other (Game Rant).

Radovan's route teaches smithing and gives a bed. Game Rant's early-game list recommends it for the free bed and the introduction to crafting (Blacksmithing). Its last step, The Hermit, ends with Ambrose's broken sword: reforge it into the Toledo Steel Sword (1 Frankfurt Steel, 2 Scrap Metal) and give it to Radovan for 25 groschen and the invitation, per Game Rant's Hermit guide.

Kreyzl's route is a thief's route. Game Rant's Materia Prima walkthrough sends Henry for thieves' clothing from Dorothy at Zhelejov (199 coins, or Speech above 10), to pickpocket sleeping guards' keys in Troskowitz and take a letter from a basement chest. In Opus Magnum Henry chaperones the miller's Enneleyn at the wedding, and Game Rant says to aim for Charisma 15 or more; the quest finishes after Necessary Evil with the Lead Shot Gunpowder recipe.

The wedding itself is a string of small tasks. TheGamer's steps: accept Svatya Thrush's bet about Myshka and dance with her, feed the beggars with scraps from the pantry, fetch the Moravian Jurko a jug of Moravian Schnapps from the cellar, and find Hans. On Radovan's route Hans knows who stole the sword and Henry gets it back; on Kreyzl's, Enneleyn returns the Chamberlain's ring but will not come back herself. Von Bergow never arrives.

The night ends in a cell. Henry comforts the crying bride in the cellar, Vyutek accuses him of an affair, and a brawl breaks out; a cutscene shows nobles hiring Godwin to find Henry (TheGamer's walkthrough). Two warnings from guides: finishing Troubadours first replaces the wedding's musicians (Game Rant), and dancing with Doubravka can kill a Henry low on health, because her missteps deal damage (Game Rant).

For Whom the Bell Tolls

For Whom the Bell Tolls is a race to save Hans from the gallows. Henry is freed, but only the sick Captain Thomas can vouch for them, and Henry has 12 hours to cure him, according to Game Rant's walkthrough.

The quest is a stealth tutorial inside Trosky Castle. Game Rant's steps: carry three bags of coal for the castle blacksmith (and optionally make a horseshoe for Kabat), sneak to Thomas's tower, and learn from his sister about the physician's notes. Steal a lockpick and Dried Trout, give the trout to a hungry guard, read the physician's journal (Thomas needs a Fever Tonic), then lockpick a chest for Feverfew, Elderberry and Ginger. Katherine turns up snooping in the physician's office in the restricted Crone tower. The sneaking is explained on Stealth, Lockpicking and Pickpocketing.

Game Rant's Fever Tonic recipe: wine, three handfuls of Feverfew, boil for two turns of the hourglass, add ground Elderberry, add two handfuls of Ginger, then take it off the heat and bottle it. More recipes are on Alchemy and Potion Recipes.

Back in the Saddle

Back in the Saddle puts Henry in von Bergow's service and on a horse. Chamberlain Ulrich gives him a bed and a chest, and the hired hand Kabat offers Pebbles (Henry's own mare) or Herring, which has better stats, according to Game Rant's walkthrough. Game Rant's horse comparison (Feb 15, 2025) gives Pebbles Stamina 127, Speed 32 and Courage 12 against Herring's 169, 40 and 14, both with Capacity 138; each horse has a hidden perk earned by riding, and the Patch 1.4 notes (Sep 9, 2025) slightly reduced both perks' boosts. See Horses.

At Nebakov the stories do not add up. Game Rant's steps: eat with Adjutant Michael and ask about Lord Jaromir's many horses, notice that the horse handler Pertzel's story contradicts Michael's, take the prison key, talk to the prisoner, then ride back to warn Lord Otto von Bergow.

Nebakov has optional rewards. Game Rant lists Rowel Spurs (Michael's duel), the Bravante Saddle (Pertzel's race), the Ornate Hunting Crossbow (Mark's archery contest) and a badge or groschen (dice with Guardsman Zwerk). Klara, the herb woman and healer at Nebakov, is a romance option here (Game Rant); see Romance.

Necessary Evil

Necessary Evil is an interrogation with a heavy choice at the end. Von Bergow asks Henry and Hans to question a captured bandit from the gang that attacked them in Easy Riders; Game Rant's walkthrough says the Dark Arts Apprentice perk, good armor, or high Charisma, Deception or Intimidation let you avoid torture, and torturing him costs a lot of reputation with Hans. The checks are on Speech and Charisma.

The prisoner names names. The bandits hide at Nebakov, Istvan Toth works with them, and Olda Semine, the bridegroom, is one of them; getting Olda's name takes a Speech check or torture (Game Rant's walkthrough).

What Henry reports decides Semine's fate. Keep Olda's name out of the report and the quest ends (with a skill check if Henry earlier said Olda left his wedding early). Name him, and von Bergow sends Henry with Hashek to Semine, where Old and Young Semine die and Semine burns. Siding with the Semines there means killing Hashek, and the estate burns anyway to hide the betrayal; siding with Hashek wipes out the Semines (TheGamer's endings guide). Side with the Semines and then confess to von Bergow, and Henry is hanged (Game Rant). TheGamer counts siding with the Semines toward the better ending; see Endings.

For Victory!

For Victory! is a point of no return. Hans waits in the courtyard walkway at 7 PM; Game Rant's walkthrough calls starting it a point of no return, Game Rant's Kuttenberg guide says it locks you out of free roam for a while, and Game Rant's points of no return says it starts the chain to Storm and that the side quests Demons of Trosky and Bad Blood can no longer be finished. Noble clothes come from Tailor Bartoshek in Troskowitz.

The feast is full of small rewards. Game Rant's steps: wine from Cook Manyeta, Hans's armor from the smithy (a Speech, Domination or Intimidation check), and Herrmann Littlehead's ring prank on Florian and Adelta (answer "A Shy Friend"), which pays a Strength skill book and a weak Savior Schnapps. Dice with Bailiff Goathead can win 110 groschen, and Black Bartosch and Widow Johanka are possible bedfellows that night.

The march ends in an ambush and a duel. Next morning von Bergow's army marches on Nebakov, is ambushed in the forest, and at the mill outside Nebakov the bandit leader challenges Henry to a duel; the quest ends with von Bergow's men hanged (Game Rant). Attacking enough of von Bergow's soldiers before this quest ends the game, because Henry has lost his trust (Game Rant).

Divine Messenger

Divine Messenger is played as Father Godwin. TheGamer's walkthrough has him ask locals about the fight at Nebakov, ride to the ambush site (bandits are looting the dead: fight them or leave them), persuade a guard to let him meet Erik, and fight off a bandit attack.

Godwin's quest turns the bandits into allies. He races Erik to the castle, where Captain Žižka asks whether Hanush has sent a ransom for Hans; none has come. Von Bergow's men then infiltrate the castle, and Godwin helps Žižka fight them off. In return Žižka frees Henry and Hans, who expose Istvan Toth as Sigismund's agent; Toth is imprisoned, but Erik rescues him and they escape (TheGamer). The new ally is on Jan Žižka.

The Finger of God

The Finger of God is the defense of Nebakov. Henry buries three bodies with Godwin, then learns the hand cannon from Hertel, who gives him the pistole and lead balls, according to Game Rant's walkthrough. This is where guns arrive; see Firearms.

Before the battle there are optional jobs. Game Rant lists dice with Hans (a Painted Die is in the western fortress), treating three wounded men for Klara (a second chance at her romance), loading five sacks for Bluster, making three sets of horseshoes for Groom Peltzel (paid in a Cockerel, lead balls and groschen), and sharpening weapons for Blacksmith Bull.

The battle ends in capture. Otto von Bergow attacks with Sir Markvart and the Prague militia; Henry pushes off ladders with a halberd and drops rocks through a hole onto the gate, then in the tower the cannon called the Finger of God knocks everyone unconscious and von Bergow takes Henry and his allies prisoner (Game Rant).

Storm

Storm is the last quest of the first act. Henry is tortured in Trosky's dungeon, Godwin gives the information up anyway, and Katherine rescues the group and gives Henry her dagger, according to Game Rant's walkthrough.

Henry gets his revenge and his sword. He sneaks through the Crone tower to Istvan Toth's chambers and kills him, either dishonorably or in a duel, and takes Radzig's longsword, Otto's room key and the gear of Henry, Godwin and Žižka (Game Rant). Von Bergow's orders are in a chest behind the desk in Otto's room in the Maiden tower and show he is gathering forces at Kuttenberg.

The act ends in flight. The group escapes by tunnel toward Apollonia, Henry fetches a cart with Mika's help, and they head for Kuttenberg (Game Rant). A cutscene carries Henry to the second map, where the story goes on in Main Quests in Kuttenberg; once The Sword and the Quill and Speak of the Devil are done he can ride back to Trosky at any time (Game Rant).
