Trosky Region

The Trosky region is the first of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's two maps, the Bohemian Paradise around Trosky Castle, where the 12 opening main quests take place. Its main town is Troskowitz, with Tachov, Semine, Zhelejov, the Nomads' Camp, Apollonia and Nebakov Fortress around it.

The Trosky region is the first of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's two maps: the Bohemian Paradise around Trosky Castle, where Henry spends roughly the first 20 hours of the main story before the much larger Kuttenberg region opens, as PCGamesN's map guide puts it. Its towns are Troskowitz, Tachov, Semine and Zhelejov; around them lie the Nomads' Camp, the sandstone rocks of Apollonia and Nebakov Fortress. PLAION's reveal announcement described each of the game's two maps as double the size of the first game's.

Trosky Castle

Trosky Castle is the region's seat of power, held by Lord Otto von Bergow, whom Henry and Hans Capon are sent to with a letter at the start of the story (TheGamer). Deep Silver's official game page says the real castle was built around 1380 between two basalt outcrops of a long-extinct volcano, and that its name comes from rocks that look like a collapsed castle. Its two towers are the Maiden and the Crone, per PCGamesN's map guide.

The castle becomes Henry's base in the second half of the region's story. In Back in the Saddle, Chamberlain Ulrich gives him a bed and a chest, and Hired Hand Kabat offers him Pebbles or a better horse, Herring (Game Rant). The castle also has a bath near Osina's smithy (Game Rant), the scribe Erazim who sells skill books (PCGamesN), and the trainer Black Bartosch, who teaches every weapon type once Wedding Crashers and For Whom the Bell Tolls are done (Game Rant).

The region's story ends at the castle. In Storm, von Bergow's orders turn up in a chest in Otto's room in the Maiden tower, showing he is gathering forces at Kuttenberg, and the group escapes through a tunnel toward Apollonia (Game Rant). See Main Quests in Trosky.

Towns and villages

Troskowitz is the region's market town, stretched along one main road near the center of the map. Game Rant's town guide lists an inn, Tailor Bartoshek, Apothecary Emerich, Merchant Jurg, a carpenter who sells bows and crossbows, a butcher, a scribe in the guard barracks, a laundry and an Indulgence Chest. Bartoshek is also where Henry buys noble clothes for the feast in For Victory! (Game Rant).

Tachov lies northwest of Troskowitz and is the blacksmith's village. Blacksmith Radovan has his smithy, shop and a bed for Henry there, and the village also has a tavern, a grocer and a smokehouse, per Game Rant's Tachov guide. Radovan is one of the two routes to the wedding invitation in Wedding Crashers; see Blacksmithing.

Semine lies directly southwest of Troskowitz, with a fort above the village. Game Rant's Semine guide puts a horse trader, a combat arena and a fast travel point at Semine Castle, and a grocer, a shrine and a saddler in the village. The wedding of Lord Olda Semine and Agnes Thrush takes place at Fort Semine (TheGamer), and Henry's mare Pebbles waits in its stables (PCGamesN).

Zhelejov is the small village up a side road halfway between Troskowitz and Semine (Game Rant). Its inn is the Wagoners' Inn, kept by Innkeeper Lawrence (Game Rant); it has a bathhouse run by Bathmaid Dorothy (Game Rant) and, since Patch 1.2 on Mar 13, 2025, a barber.

Camps, rocks and fortresses

The Nomads' Camp in the west, near Rocktower Pond, is home to the Romani nomads and their Voivode (PCGamesN). Master Tomcat trains swordsmanship at its arena and teaches the Master Strike for free once beaten (Game Rant), and Fence Whitebeard there buys stolen goods but holds only 240 groschen at a time (Game Rant). Update 1.3 on May 15, 2025 added horse races and a mounted archery course hosted at a nomads' camp near Trosky (DSOGaming); see Horses.

Apollonia is a maze of rocks east of Trosky Castle. Deep Silver's game page calls the real Apolena a maze of sandstone rocks, paths and caves that sheltered outcasts and exiles, and in the game it holds bandit caves (PCGamesN). The Voivode's daughter Marika is found in a cave near Apollonia in Miri Fajta (Game Rant).

Nebakov Fortress, on the southern edge, is the bandits' hideout behind the region's story. In Back in the Saddle Henry and Hans ride there to ask about Lord Jaromir's many horses, and in For Victory! von Bergow's army marches on it (Game Rant, Game Rant). Klara, the herb woman and healer at Nebakov, is a Romance option (Game Rant).

Traders, trainers and services

The region has every kind of trader Henry needs early. A carpenter in Troskowitz sells bows and crossbows, Apothecary Emerich sells potions and herbs, and scribes Gaibl in Troskowitz and Erazim at the castle sell the books that raise Scholarship (Game Rant, PCGamesN). Game Rant's armor guide names the Trosky blacksmith as the source of the best early armor: the Bascinet With Aventail (defense 120), Saxon Brigandine (125), Silesian Brigandine Sleeves (126) and "Milanese Plate Leg Armour" (126).

Trainer Where Teaches
Master Tomcat Nomads' Camp arena Master Strike (free once beaten), sword combos for a fee
Captain Gnarly Semine arena, past the stables Longsword, polearm and heavy weapon combos
Black Bartosch Trosky Castle All weapon types, after For Whom the Bell Tolls
Barnaby North of Trosky Castle (Game Rant) or Kopina (PCGamesN) Unarmed combos, after a quest chain and a won fistfight
Miller Kreyzl Lower Semine Mill Lockpicking, pickpocketing and takedowns

What to do in the Trosky region

The main story here runs through 12 quests, from the prologue Last Rites to Storm, per PCGamesN's quest list. The prologue ends with two open goals: win an invitation to the Semine wedding and find Henry's dog (Game Rant). The invitation comes either through Radovan in Tachov (The Blacksmith's Son, The Jaunt, The Hermit) or Kreyzl at Lower Semine Mill (Materia Prima, Forbidden Fruit, Opus Magnum), per TheGamer.

Finding Mutt is the region's other early thread. PCGamesN's Mutt guide traces him from the pond near Henry's escape to Bozhena's hut, the Zhelejov innkeeper, a fisherman and shepherd Siegfried, then to a wolf pack south of the Nomads' Camp; the reunion opens the Houndmaster skill tree. See Mutt the Dog.

The region's side quests are some of the game's most varied. Bad Blood, Mice, Troubadours, Invaders, Miri Fajta, Demons of Trosky and Lackey all start here; Side Quests lists them with where each starts and what it pays.

Money comes from smithing, contests and dice. PCGamesN's money guide lists smithing for Radovan, archery and fist-fighting contests at Kezvan the Miller's, alchemy and dice as the legal routes, and TheGamer says the archery competition in the west returns 10 groschen on a 5 groschen bet on its beginner option. See Money Making Guide and Dice.

Treasure maps lead to caches across the region. Game Rant's guide says the Caught Thief's Map comes from Black Bartosch by the castle's west fence (pickpocket it, win it at dice or buy it for 250 groschen) and leads to a chest east of Nebakov Mill holding 328 groschen and 4 Frankfurt Steel. The Vidlak Bandit's Map leads to a chest with 300 groschen and a Golden Crucifix that Game Rant says can sell for over 1,000 groschen.

Several easter eggs hide in the woods. Game Rant's easter egg list puts a sword in the stone northwest of Rocktower Pond and an Elden Ring "Let Me Solo Her" skeleton southwest of Lower Semine Mill, and Game Rant marks a crashed UFO southeast of Nebakov Fortress behind an invisible wall.

Before you leave for Kuttenberg

For Victory! is the region's point of no return. Starting it begins the chain to Storm and locks out the side quests Demons of Trosky and Bad Blood, and Hans warns you at its end to finish your business, per Game Rant's point of no return guide. Wedding Crashers also locks one route: taking the blacksmith's path or the miller's to the wedding closes the other.

The region stays open after the story moves on. Henry can return by coach for 200 groschen each way, except during timed main quests (TheGamer), and two DLCs begin here: Brushes with Death starts southeast of Trosky Castle (Game Rant). The next map is Kuttenberg.
